What Is A Smart Phone

A smartphone (or smart phone) is a mobile phone with an operating system.Smartphones typically include the features of a phone with those of another popular consumer device, such as a personal digital assistant, a digital camera, a media player, and/or a GPS navigation unit. Later smartphones include all of those plus the features of a touchscreen computer, including web browsing, Wi-Fi, 3rd-party apps, motion sensor, mobile payment and 3G.
In 2007, Apple Inc. introduced the iPhone, one of the first mobile phones to use a multi-touch interface. The iPhone was notable for its use of a large touchscreen for direct finger input as its main means of interaction, instead of a stylus, keyboard, or keypad typical for smartphones at the time. 2008 saw the release of the first phone to use Android called the HTC Dream (also known as the T-Mobile G1).Android is an open-source platform founded by Andy Rubin and backed by Google. Although Android's adoption was relatively slow at first, it started to gain widespread popularity in 2010, and now dominates the market.
Both of these platforms led to the drop of the previous leading companies. Microsoft, for instance, started a new OS from scratch, in the form of Windows Phone, which is now the third largest OS. Nokia abandoned Symbian and partnered with Microsoft to use Windows Phone on its smartphones. Palm was bought by Hewlett-Packard, turned into webOS, and later demised. BlackBerry also made a new system from scratch, BlackBerry 10.
The capacitive touchscreen also had a knock-on effect on cheaper smart phones form factors. Before 2007 it was common for devices to have a numeric keypad or QWERTY keyboard in either a candybar or sliding form factor. However, by 2010, there were no top-tier smartphones with numeric keypads. As of 2014, BlackBerry Limited – with a 0.6% share of the market in Q4 2013 – is the sole remaining brand of high-end smartphones with physical keyboards.

Most suppliers will have an in house design service or you can provide your own prototype idea for production. Marketing, promotion and product launch samples are some of the services provided. A good supplier will have an impressive client list and produce quality goods. A good retailer will work with you whether your design is in house or bespoke.
Folding box board packaging is very flexible and absolutely ideal for many multi purpose packaging requirements. It has been tried and tested in transportation and durability for many decades. It is a solid, lightweight yet strong material that is a cheap, reliable and effective enclosure for any product. It is also easy to crease and folding carton manufacturer into place to be interlocked or glued together. This type of packaging is very cost effective even when buying small amounts. The single or multi layered board can be printed on to with commercial ink and printers.
Folding box board is used in the creation of many kinds of packaging. It is used in regular packaging as well as promotional or sample packs. It is a very versatile pulp substance that can be molded into any shape or size. It is more often used for outside packaging rather than inner linings. The raw materials of these box products are primarily hard and soft wood, and recycled paper. The dual pulping process extracts the wood fibres to form this heavy duty cardboard.
Bleaching is done mainly for cosmetic purposes but it does increase the purity of the finished product. The material also appears to be a lighter colour following the bleaching process. Folding box board is low density and its layers reinforce its stiffening properties to make it ideal for cartons. This board packaging material is the perfect home for many well-known brands.

Hey Mr. Manufacturer-- Distributors Are not Catfish

Catfish are native to North America. As you may know, catfish are bottom feeders with slick, shiny skin and no scales, often known as "Mr. Whiskers." They feed on algae and prefer "dead stinky bait" rather than better, live alternatives. They feed at night and can be predators. Most are sleek and quick, but some have been known to grow over 50 pounds. Catfish known as Bull Heads are even more of a scavenger and feed on decaying organic matter. Bull Heads are not the fighters that Channel Catfish are and become an easier catch.
Some manufacturers may think of their led strip distributor in the same vernacular. They may believe distributors are slick, quick, and eager to feed on the almighty dollar. They say distributors "bottom-feed" on rebates, discounts and special promotions, preferring lowered prices (i.e., dead stinky bait) as opposed to the hard work of selling value. Manufacturers believe some distributors have grown large and lazy, demonstrating the "Cadillac and Boat" syndrome. "I have all I need, a Cadillac and my bass boat, so why break my neck trying to capture even more market share?"
After spending more than 35 years in the distribution business, I must admit that I have run into a few distributors who fit that description. But they are the exception, not the rule. Most distributors work very hard, and are honest and loyal to their manufacturer. They recognize that they are only as good as the support they receive from their manufacturer. But they also recognize the reciprocal nature of the relationship. In other words, the more support that distributors give manufacturers through investments in market share growth, then the more support they will receive from the manufacturer.
Distributors are not bottom feeders in the supply chain channel.
Distributors provide tremendous value. Most manufacturers understand this and will openly admit it, although some do so begrudgingly. Manufacturers who truly operate in a partnership relationship not only acknowledge the distribution value, but they seek to leverage that value at every opportunity. What value does distribution provide?

The entry point for a home wind power generator

Under unfavorable conditions a residential wind generator may still produce power, but the return on investment will take much longer. Under such circumstances a smaller less expensive home wind power generator may be the best option.
The entry point for a home wind power generator has become quite reasonable. There are now small light wind residential wind generators that can be purchased for three to four hundred dollars.
For larger Wind Solar Power System half the cost of installation can be the tower. The advantage of small wind power generators is the ability to be mounted on existing structures such as roof tops. Also in many cases no special equipment other than a ladder are required to install.
Many home owners are capable of making the home wind power generator installation themselves. The amount of energy each individual can produce may only be a portion of their needs, but because of the low cost and ease of installment more people can own a home wind power generator.
State and Federal rebate and tax incentives can reduce the equipment and labor costs of an installation as much as 30%. This is a very good stimulus to get people involved residential wind generators.
Because more people can become involved, the impact of small residential wind turbine could be significant.
Most return on investment schedules are based on current energy costs. Because energy costs are likely to rise annually the actual return on investment from residential wind generators may be much sooner than predicted.

The Invasion of the Android Smart Phone

Are you amazed at all the China Android Smart Phone choices, calling plans, and announcements when it comes to iPhones, Google Phones, Droid Phones, Blackberries, and clones? If so, you can join the club. We've been busy studying these things since they were on the drawing boards, and it's hard to keep up with even spending 2-hours a day studying all the new happenings in the industry and all the reviews out there. In the end however, it is not the branding, marketing, or advertising which will determine the winners and losers in the market rather it's you; the consumer, customer, and user.
Recently, a personal tech guru of the smart phone technology space noted in his weekly column some interesting insights into just how the smart phone market was heating up in 2010. In his article Michael Martin wrote a piece; "A Veritable Army of Androids Coming this Year," as we was discussing how HTC and other companies were going to mass produce Google Nexus One like clones running the Google operating system, all with similar features and a $100s of dollars less than Apples 3GS iPhone of Google's own Nexus One.
Michael Martin noted that we could see at least a 100 (that's right 100, and he even listed the names of these smart phone models in his article) "android phone choices worldwide scheduled to be made available in 2010." Amazing, so here comes the invasion of the Androids, wow - and although things are about to get even more complicated, at least all the prices will be coming down now.
Apple may have found a way to temporarily keep out some of the HTC clones by filing a lawsuit with an international trade and patent organization. It hopes to protect some 20 plus patents that it has for features which run on its touch screen iPhone 3GS model. Hard to say if this will stop HTC in its tracks, most likely not, but if it can just slow them down, it will help US smart phone makers keep the price up long enough to get a decent return on their investment for all the technology and research that has been put into these units.
The Motorola Droid sells at $199 and that is a far-cry cheaper than the Apple 3GS, and if we consider the real prices of technology, we know that they've managed to build laptops now for $100. If a laptop can be built for $100, then obviously this massive competition in the smart phone market will drive the prices down to about what one would pay for a Texas Instrument scientific calculator. Please consider all this.
